To be or not to be "BACKROOM"
Room Sweet Backroom » Devlog
I noticed that the game suffered a bit of a "flop" because of the name "Backroom" and many people say they haven't played it because they don't like Genre.
To those who played, I would like to ask if the fact that it was a backroom hindered the experience.
For those who haven't played, I would be happy if you could also give feedback on why and if the fact that it was a backroom was a determining factor in this.

Backrooms is what got my attention. I've played many Backrooms games and always like trying new ones. Especially when they do something different with it.
I enjoy backroomsy things so, if i was scrolling through, I would have clicked it, knowing an idea of what I was getting into before reading what the game was about.
But that is just me, an enjoyer of backrooms types of games
"if i was scrolling through, I would have clicked it"
This was something that I felt also affected, compared to my first game, this one had a lot fewer visits, that is, I believe it appeared to a lot fewer people.
I know I am a bit weird on your stats with that as I do sometimes actively search "backrooms games" so my eye would have be more drawn to it, does Itch.io have stats like that for devs? how many views, downloads and stuff? I am a simple horror enjoyer and have no idea what its like for the devs haha Do say, it was a fun game though! I had fun messing around and got scared a few times, hopefully it will get snagged back up with the spooky season!
Yes he has! We have our developer panel that we followed almost all the time lol, in it I saw that the number of visits to the topic that converted into downloads was a relatively good number, very similar to our first game "Class 5B"
However, the number of people who saw the game is absurdly smaller, while the class reached, say, 5000 people in a month, the backroom didn't even reach 1000, which means that it appeared in the feeds of far fewer people.
